Sangiovese/Chianti

Antinori 2004 Santa Christina (Italy)- Wine Spectator 87pts.

I like Sangiovese's, the fruity bouquet and fresh berry flavor. $8 at Cost Plus World Market. Ruby red color, bouquet of mature fruits, nice structure, harmonious, soft and sweet tannins.
Nice Italian table wine, excellent with food.
Update- this wine is now in the Goleta Costco for $8.

Meridian 2003- One of our favorites, we pick it up at Costco for $6 dollars. Fruity and lively, smooth on the finish- what a deal! We often have a glass while Barb cooks, great on it's own.

2003 Sterling Central Coast Vintners Collection - we've bought 2000 Sterling at Costco for $14 a few months back and we were very pleased, a nice value.
Cost Plus World Market currently has the 2003 Sterling Central Coast Vintners Collection for $14, and it's great! Smooth, full and lots of berries, surprisingly smooth and mature finish. This easily compares to a wine of twice the price.
