Deep purple color, black fruit, dark chocolate and vegetal aromas with some floral aspects (deep dark chocolate drizzled on celery?).
Compacted black fruits like plums, raisins and licorice flavors, toasty notes not overdone and floral hints. Very nice balance of acidity and round tannins, the 14% alcohol is handled supberly. I liked this very much, it's great on its own or paired with food, great value.
"Terrazas de los Andes Winery grows its grapes at an ideal elevation where each variety develops the maximum expression of aromas and flavors. The grapes used for the Terrazas Reserva Malbec are selected from our finest estate vineyards, located in the best districts of Mendoza, the the ideal elevation of 3,500 feet."-Winery

I had the '06 version of this and was a big fan. Had the Pascual Toso? That is my current fave. This is one varietal where Trader Joe's always disappoints much to my dismay...
